Devote Savings

Terms of Service

Last updated October 22, 2026

These terms are an agreement between Devote Technology Corporation (“Devote,” “we,” “us”) and the organization that uses Devote Savings (“your organization”), together with each person who signs in for it (“you”). By using Devote Savings you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you’re authorized to bind it.

1. What Devote Savings is

Devote Savings is software for applying for, viewing and managing a nonprofit organization’s savings account: moving money, keeping funds and donor restrictions, approving transfers, and producing reports. Devote is not a bank. Your organization’s savings account is opened and held through our deposit program partner and its participating banks, under the savings account terms your organization accepts when it applies. Those terms govern the account itself, including deposit insurance, interest, fees charged by the program, and account access; where they conflict with these terms about the account, they control.

2. Eligibility and applications

Devote Savings is for organizations established in the United States. Everything in an application must be true and complete, and your organization must keep it current. We and our partners verify the identity of the organization, its controlling party and its owners, as anti-money-laundering and sanctions laws require, and may ask for more information. An account can’t receive money until that review is complete, and we or our partners may decline an application.

3. People and permissions

Your organization’s Owners and Admins decide who can use Devote Savings for it, what role each person has, which funds they can see, and which approvals are required. Your organization is responsible for the people it gives access to and for keeping their access current, and for everything they do in the app.

Sign-in codes, authenticators, passkeys, backup codes and the approval rules your organization sets are the security procedures for your account, and you agree they are commercially reasonable for it. We will treat any instruction given through Devote Savings with those procedures as authorized by your organization, unless you told us of possible unauthorized use and we had a reasonable chance to act on it.

4. Keeping your account secure

Never share your sign-in codes, authenticators or backup codes, and don’t let anyone else use your sign-in. If you think someone has used your account or your organization’s account without permission, report it in the app or tell us right away at security@usedevote.com. We may pause transfers or access while we look into it.

5. Transfers

Transfers your organization requests and approves are sent to the savings account program for processing. Money moves on bank business days, and timing depends on the banks involved, so we can’t promise when a transfer will arrive. A transfer needs enough available money when it’s sent. We may delay, hold or refuse a transfer if we suspect fraud or unauthorized activity, if the law requires it, or if it would break these terms or the savings account terms.

6. Review your activity

Check your statements and activity promptly. If something looks wrong, tell us within 30 days of the statement or activity first being available in Devote Savings. If you don’t, your organization may lose the right to dispute it, to the extent the law allows.

7. Fund records and reports

Funds, donor restrictions, allocations, reports and the activity sent to QuickBooks are records your organization keeps with our help. They aren’t legal, tax or accounting advice. Your organization remains responsible for honoring donor restrictions, for its own books and tax filings, and for checking the reports it relies on. The savings account’s statements are the official record of its balance.

8. Connected services

When you link a bank account or connect QuickBooks, you authorize us to use that connection to provide Devote Savings, and the other service’s own terms also apply. We aren’t responsible for services we don’t operate.

9. Fees

Any fee Devote charges for Devote Savings will be shown to your organization before it applies. Fees charged by the savings account program are set out in the savings account terms.

10. Electronic communications

You agree to receive notices, disclosures, statements and other communications electronically, in the app or by email, and that they count as being in writing. Keep your email address current.

11. Acceptable use

Don’t use Devote Savings for anything unlawful or for anyone other than your organization; don’t try to reach information you aren’t permitted to see; and don’t interfere with, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, except through a security report to us.

12. Your organization’s information

Your organization owns the information it puts in Devote Savings. It gives us permission to store and use that information to provide, secure and support the service, and as described in the Privacy Policy. Devote owns the software and everything in it apart from your organization’s information.

13. Suspension and closing

Your organization may close its account in the app as described there. We may suspend or end access to Devote Savings, for a person or an organization, if these terms are broken, to prevent fraud or harm, or if the law or our partners require it; when we can, we’ll tell you first. We keep records after an account closes as the law requires.

14. Disclaimers

Except as these terms or the law say otherwise, Devote Savings is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

15. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Devote and its affiliates aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, goodwill or business interruption, and Devote’s total liability for any claim about Devote Savings is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees your organization paid Devote for Devote Savings in the 12 months before the claim. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

16. Indemnity

Your organization will defend and hold harmless Devote and its directors, officers, employees and agents against claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from its use of Devote Savings, its breach of these terms, actions of the people it gives access to, or information it provides that is untrue.

17. Changes

We may change Devote Savings and these terms. We’ll update the date above and tell account holders by email or in the app before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use Devote Savings after that means you accept the change.

18. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about them or Devote Savings will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and both sides consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. EACH SIDE WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN THOSE DISPUTES.

19. General

These terms, the Privacy Policy and the savings account terms are the whole agreement about Devote Savings. If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn’t a waiver of it. Your organization may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them to an affiliate or a successor to our business.
